The bar record

We read Danilo Avalon in the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers attorney lookup. Every row below is the Board’s — this register carries no self-reported block at all, which is why nothing here is shaded.

This is the only register on this site that hands you the document. Where Nevada gives a case number, Florida a ten-year window and Washington a blank with a warning, the BBO answers Yes, gives the date, and links the decision itself. We followed the link; it resolves to a page on the Board’s own decisions site headed In the Matter of Danilo Avalon. We did not read the decision, and we are not going to describe conduct we have not read. What we can do is print the action, the date, and the address of the full account — which is more than any other state on this site has let us do.

Nine fields, and then it stops. The BBO publishes name, status, malpractice insurance, location, public discipline, firm, address, admission date and BBO number. No practice areas, no law school, no admissions in other states, no languages, no office size, no fee terms. Where Washington prints a sprawling block it warns might be wrong, and Texas labels its equivalent self-reported, Massachusetts simply does not ask. Everything below the record on this page is therefore the lawyer’s own account, tagged as such.

What the record shows

The BBO lookup answers Yes on Public Discipline, records 2022-07-20: Public Reprimand, and hyperlinks the decision. We followed the link. It resolves, on the Board’s own decisions site, to a page headed In the Matter of Danilo Avalon under Disciplinary Decisions.Verified

That link is the single most useful thing any register on this site does. Nevada gave us a case number. Florida gave us a ten-year window. Washington gave us a blank and a warning. Massachusetts gives you the document and lets you read it yourself.Verified

We did not read the decision itself — the text sits in an embedded document we did not open, and we are not going to characterise conduct we have not read. What we can tell you is exactly what the register tells you: the action, the date, and where the full account lives. A public reprimand is the least severe form of public discipline in most systems, and his licence is Active.Verified

His firm’s rideshare page is one of two here that cite Massachusetts statutes by section rather than describing them loosely — MGL c.231 §85 for comparative negligence and MGL c.260 §2A for the three-year limitation period.Verified

This is the firm’s own marketing. It shows they hold themselves out as taking rideshare cases — it is not evidence that they have run one, and we have not verified any rideshare case they have handled.

What we haven’t checked

Not established. The decision itself. The register points at it and we did not read it, which makes this the largest gap on any listing here — and, unusually, a gap we could close rather than one the register refuses to fill. The Board’s separate decisions and admonitions archives, which we have not searched. We have not reviewed court records for case outcomes, we print no settlement or verdict figures, and we have no basis for judging quality of representation. A bar check is a floor, not a ranking.
